Our SENCO offers a thorough 90-minute in-person consultation designed to support home-educating families. Here's what we provide:

Assessing Academic Levels

We evaluate your child's current academic performance across various subjects to identify strengths and areas for improvement. This helps us understand their overall academic standing and tailor support to their specific needs. After the assessment, we provide comprehensive feedback, including actionable recommendations to enhance their educational experience and support their development.

Reviewing EHCP Implementation

We thoroughly examine Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure that the provisions and support outlined are being effectively delivered. This includes checking the alignment of the EHCP with your child's current educational setting and their progress towards the goals set in the plan.

Education Mentoring

Our education mentor assists students in preparing for exams by:

• Teaching effective study skills
• Creating personalized study plans
• Providing stress management techniques
• Organizing practice exams and feedback
• Boosting motivation and confidence
• Recommending study resources
• Involving parents for additional support

Support with Annual Responses to EHE Team

We help families assess their educational provision by providing frameworks and checklists to ensure all necessary areas of education are covered. This ensures your child's learning is comprehensive and well-rounded.

Futures staff guide parents through the process of writing annual responses, which typically include:

• A description of the family's approach to education and the methods used
• Details of the subjects taught and the resources used
• An assessment of the child's progress over the year, including notable achievements or areas for improvement
• Examples of the child's work to illustrate their learning and development

Before submitting responses to the local authority, Futures staff can review them to ensure they meet all requirements and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of the documentation.

No Hidden Fees

There is no sign-up necessary with hidden fees. You pay a one-off charge for the 90-minute service. We recommend scheduling this consultation at least annually or once per term if you prefer.
